Publishing Principles
GrapplersNews.jp covers grappling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu — news, results, interviews and features — in Japanese and English.
Reporting is built on primary sources: announcements from promoters, organisations and athletes themselves, and interviews conducted by our editorial team. Where we cite another outlet we say so, and where a detail is unconfirmed we label it as such.
Sponsored and editorial content are clearly separated. No commercial relationship influences editorial judgement.
Corrections Policy
When we learn that a factual claim is wrong, we correct it as soon as we can verify the correct information.
Corrections that change the meaning of an article are noted at the foot of the article with the date. Typographical fixes that do not change meaning may be made silently.

Ethics Policy
We tell interview subjects in advance what the interview is for and where it will be published.
We do not report on the private lives of athletes or officials unless there is a clear competitive relevance.
We publish only images we have rights to: licensed or permitted images, our own photography, or images we generate ourselves. Where credit is owed, the photographer or provider is named.
Diversity Policy
Coverage decisions are made on competitive merit, regardless of gender, weight class, nationality or affiliation.
Women’s competition and smaller domestic events in Japan are covered on the same continuing basis as men’s and major international events.
Actionable Feedback
Feedback on our reporting, corrections and interview requests are all welcome through our contact form.
Every message is read by the editorial team, and where a change is warranted we amend or annotate the article.
